MBCO was responsible for the setting of city-wide survey monuments to be used for every platting, engineering, and land survey project within city limits. The project included the study of locations, drilling of 70 foot deep holes for primary control, static and RTK GPS sessions to establish the GPS network system and baseline processing for 19 concrete encased monuments. Deliverables included project approach, least square adjustment computations, and control sheets for the new monuments.
Because finding and researching locations of points for coverage and accessibility were challenging, MBCO closely coordinated with the City of Pearland and municipal departments to determine location regarding accessibility, underground utilities, and quality GPS reading locations.
